Memory's A Bitch

The simplest things can trigger a barrage of memories – and the realization of how vivid you can still recall events that happened a lifetime ago is like a mighty kick in your shin. I can’t hate myself for what I already have, for what I’m only allowed to have, but I can’t stop myself from wishing that I could have another just once more.
