Friday's Feast 172

Appetizer
Make up a word and give us its definition.

Aaiiyeeehi – the sound that explodes in my head when I see my crush unexpectedly.

Soup
What is currently your favorite song?

“Run” by Snow Patrol. It’s one of the songs that I will always associate with this special person (corny…). It’s a sad goodbye song (ouch) but there’s hope behind the sadness.

Salad
What’s at the top of your Christmas wish list this year?

The very first thing I asked for was the DVD of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and hopefully, I will get it tonight! Other things I asked for are books, DVDs and yes, a freakin’ corkboard that I’ve been wanting to buy for, like, forever. Right now I just passed by National Bookstore and they got tons and tons of Post-Its! I want those, too! And I also want a Moleskine cahier notebook. (Don't you get this feeling that I want a lot of things this Christmas?)

Main Course
Name a scent that reminds you of someone special in your life.

The smell of grass and dried leaves and rain and sun-kissed skin.

Dessert
Who is someone on television that you feel probably shouldn’t be, and why?

“Senator” Bong Revilla, because he’s supposed to be a senator and yet he’s acting like a first-class buffoon and he’s not even funny.

Friday's Feast # Whatever!

After a looonng while...

Appetizer
What was the last game you purchased?

I purchased an R4DS for my Nintendo DS Lite which allows me to save downloaded games to a memory card. The last game I downloaded via Torrents was Elite Beat Agents.

So far, I have not purchased any cartridge for my DS Lite. The only cartridge I have (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) was also a gift from my brother.

(wait – did I answered the question correctly or did I misunderstood it?)

Soup
Name something in which you don’t believe.

I’m mostly a skeptic, so there are a lot of things I don’t believe in – which doesn’t mean that I’m closed to the possibility of me being wrong about it. I just need more evidence before I choose to believe.

That being said, I don’t believe in fortune-telling. I’m a firm believer in our free will and I think trying to divine what the future holds can affect a person’s ability to use his/her free will.

Salad
If you could choose a celebrity to be your boss, who would you pick?

I would choose a British actor, probably Sir Ian McKellen or Alan Rickman. I think their dry humor would be a welcome presence on pressure situations. And I’ve heard them talk and they’re witty and articulate and I think I would learn a lot from them. I didn’t choose Gary Oldman because I would too distracted to function.

Main Course
What was a lesson you had to learn the hard way?

That I will always say goodbye to a lot of people, even those, and especially those that I care about the most. It seems like such an ordinary thing and something that one should have known as a fact of life, but nothing really prepares you for the moment when the people you care for leave. It was always hard for me. And it’s not always about another person physically moving away, but also those who move away because you’ve grown apart.

Dessert
Describe your idea of the perfect relaxation room.

I read about this bed and breakfast in Tagaytay called The Boutique and I think their concept! Upon check-in, the customer will go to the Powder Room and select her own shampoo, conditioner, lotion, room scent, etc. You get to choose also your pillows from the Pillows menu. And of course, LCD TV! That would be perfect for me.

Friday's Feast 149

Appetizer
Name a funny habit you have.

I tend to blurt out non-sequiturs. It’s not exactly funny; in fact, it’s often embarrassing, but most people think I’m just being funny. Well, for someone who sucks at telling jokes, it’s always a compliment when I’m told I have a sense of humor. Heh.

Soup
If you could instantly know how to play a musical instrument, which one would you pick?

The piano. It’s never too late to be the next prodigy!

Salad
How long is your hair?

It’s about eight to nine inches below my shoulder, but it’s a layered cut so the length is uneven.

Main Course
When was the last time you forgave someone, and who was it?

I find it awkward to answer this question because I feel that to answer it would be quite too self-congratulatory, if you get what I mean. I’ll put it this way – there are a few people who managed to hurt me enough for me to seriously consider whether I wanted to forgive them or not. I know I did forgive them but the act is not something I decided in a moment, like, today I forgave this person for hurting me. It’s something that I realize at some point; that the pain or the grudge that I hold or the act of forgiving is no longer monumentally important. Since I'm not really good with words I can't quite manage to say "I forgive you" or something like that. But it is through my actions when one can know that for me, bygones are truly bygones.

Was that the right answer, or even the right attitude?

Dessert
What is your favorite kitchen appliance?

The refrigerator! I like my water really cold, thank you very much. And – not to mention the food stored in that wondrous piece of science.

Friday's Feast 146

(After quite a long period of not doing this...)

Appetizer
Name something you think is “the best.”

Harry Potter is the best! The Foxtrot family is the best! The weekend is the bestest!

Soup
On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 highest), how stressed are you today?

Today, I would say only 7, thank God. But if you’ve asked me this question about two days ago, my rating would be 10 (I was very, very stressed that I went to a salon to have my nails done and relax – during lunch time!). If you asked me this question a week or 2 weeks ago, my rating would be 10. Which is why I’m happy right now because I am not that stressed and it’s already the weekend!

But things might change again next week. Oh well, I’ll just stress over it when I get there!

Salad
What kind of cleanser do you use to wash your face?

I use Neutrogena Deep Facial Cleanser because it is oil-free and non-comedogenic.

Main Course
Tonight is a blue moon! What is something that you believe only happens “once in a blue moon.”

True love only happens “once in a blue moon”. Hahaha. Just Kidding.

I think each of our experiences is a once in a blue moon kind of thing, in the sense that even if you experience it again twice or more in a lifetime, the feeling you associated with it will always differ. Like going back to your favorite vacation spot in the world, even if it’s the same place, every experience there will be unique: you’ll probably be with different sets of people or by yourself, you will meet different people, you may not do the same activities. I could say the same thing about attending school every school year, or giving birth to your children.

I’m sorry, but do I make any sense?

Dessert
When was the last time it rained where you live?

The rainy season here started about a week ago, so I must say that it’s been raining almost every day where I live and will probably rain almost every day for the next 3 months or so. Goodbye, summer season! I haven’t gotten the tan like I want to, but at least I managed to squeeze in a trip to the beach!

Friday's Feast 135

Appetizer
Name two things that made you smile this week.

This is such a good question for me, since I started this week in a sort of gloomy mood and I found myself kind of okay as the week progressed in spite of what happened during the weekend and my busy, busy week.

One of the things that made me not just smile but laugh out loud was Rob and Amber’s elimination in The Amazing Race. I was just really laughing when he spelled Philippines wrong! (Philippeans, anyone?) They’ve ran an almost perfect race from Episode 1 to 3 but their downfall was their inability to spell. Sorry, I’m being nasty.

Another thing that made me smile was that I was able to finally update the songs on my iPod after my music files got deleted from our PC. Again I’m sorry, I’m not going to lie about it, but Jerry Yan’s “I Truly Love You” is now one of the most played songs in my iPod. And that is what’s making me smile this week.

Soup
Fill in the blank: Don't you hate it when ________?

People pretend to be smarter than what they really are, and then betray their ignorance through their very own mouth.

Salad
When you can't go to sleep, what is your personal remedy to help yourself drift into Lullabyland?

I read books, although most of the time, instead of me falling into sleep, I ended up finishing the book until the wee hours of the morning. Sometimes I just stare at the walls and think of the most mundane things until I fall asleep.

But more often than not, when I can’t go to sleep, I just let it be. No sense making an extra effort in putting myself into sleep when I know that it’s mostly a losing battle.

Main Course
What is something about which you've always wondered but have not yet found a good answer?

I have been asking this for the longest time and nobody bothered to answer me – is there a rule that prohibits basketball players from doing a jump shot when taking a free throw?

Seriously, one of the things I’ve wondered about is the existence of true love. What if you thought you found true love, only to find out in the end that it was just all an illusion, something that society invented like telephone and light bulbs? That true love, in the romantic sense, never existed, but is just some sort of justification to our actions. I don’t think I am making any sense, right? Anyway, maybe I haven’t found the answer yet, but right now I’m willing to wallow in my blind belief – true love does exist.

Dessert
What is your favorite pasta dish?

Hands down, that would be my mom’s spaghetti, whether it’s tomato-based or cream-based sauce. That’s the standard by which I measure all the other spaghetti I eat. My mom being a good cook is the reason why I’m picky when it comes to food.

Other than spaghetti, I also like baked ziti and lasagna.

Friday's Feast 133

Appetizer
What does the color pink make you think of?

Funnily, it reminded of the time when I hated the color pink so much. It was back in those days when bubble bags were the rage and almost every girl at school was carrying pink Hello Kitty bubble bags! Then there were pink umbrellas, pink jackets, pink notebooks, pink pens (with feathers), pink earrings and everything was just so pink! And then a friend of mine told me that my crush that time likes it when a girl wears pink and I was so disappointed because there’s no way I am going to wear pink for him and therefore the chances of him liking me flew out of the window.

Soup
Name something you thought you had lost, but later found.

My sanity hahaha… I recently found this old, old notebook of mine where I wrote down all the mushiest poems I’ve ever composed. I was hoping I had lost it forever but here it is, mocking my indifference with its reminder that I was once a very hopeless romantic.

Salad
In 3 words, describe this past week.

Stressful, humbling and satisfying.

Main Course
What are you obsessed with?

Harry Potter, for starters. Although I’m nowhere near as obsessed as some, it’s still to the point that I must be boring some people with my endless ravings about anything and everything Harry Potter.

I’m also obsessed with other stuffs, which is not so surprising if you know me well. It’s because when I like something, it’s always to the point of obsession (except for boys; I’ve never obsess over boys. Swear!). Although I prefer the term “addict” to “obsessed”, hence, the title of this blog!

Dessert
What kind of perfume or cologne do you like to wear?

I’m really not big on perfumes or cologne. Right now I’m wearing Bath and Body Works Cherry Blossoms and so far I'm not yet "sawa" on it.

Friday's Feast 126

Appetizer
What comes to mind when you see the color orange?

Post-its? Hahaha. When the salesperson at Lacoste told me that orange is the “in” color for the year.

Soup
Did you ever get in trouble while you were in school? If so, what was it for?
Yes, for minor violations, mostly relating to prescribed uniform (not wearing of IDs, wearing slip-ons or sandals, and the ultimate “ribbon your piping” rule in hgh school).

There was also a time when the school guard told me and my then-boyfriend off for “loitering” in school. We believe that he thought mistakenly that we were doing something indecent and was just making up the violation to save face for being a dirty minded a-hole.

Salad
Which topping(s) make up your perfect pizza?

Loads and loads of cheese, pepperoni, pepper and mushrooms. But I have to say that the perfect crust makes the pizza, no matter what the toppings are.

Main Course
Do you believe in UFOs/aliens/etc.? Why or why not?

Put it this way – I believe that the universe is a big place and there’s no telling for sure what is really out there. I am not discounting the possibility that another form/s of life exists apart from the current inhabitants of our planet.

Dessert
What color is your bedspread/comforter/quilt?
Right now it’s a blue printed bedsheet. I also have a purple, orange and pink bedsheet. Not big on comforters/quilts since I live in a tropical country.

Friday's Feast 123

Appetizer
What is one of your Christmas traditions?

A lot, actually. Simbang Gabi, Noche Buena, pamamasko even if I’m the one now who’s giving the gift. Also, something I had commented to a friend – that Christmas is a time for friends’ reunion. So I can say that I really love the Christmas season, even if this year has been the busiest so far for me, even if it’s freakin’ hot here in the Philippines!

Soup
Who is the easiest person on your list to buy presents for?

I had an easier time buying gifts for my Dad and my 4 brothers. Most of the time, it’s just shirts that they wanted. Honestly, I am better at buying men’s clothing than women’s clothing!

Salad
What is your favorite Christmas scent?

Mostly Christmas foods, like bibingka and hot chocolate. Although I haven’t smelled it yet for this year, the air has a certain scent in the evening and at dawn during Christmas season, which I think has something to do with the weather.

Main Course
If you could give a fellow blogger a Christmas gift, who would it be and what would you give them?

I’ll give it to anyone who reads my blog – patience to read my irrelevant and petty ramblings! I guess most of the people I know who blogs has problems updating their sites on a regular basis, so I wish that they would have more time, more drive and more inspiration to continue sharing their thoughts and a part of their lives.

Dessert
What's something on your Christmas wish list this year that you need (not just want)?

Oh gosh. I suddenly realized that among the materials things I wished for, there is nothing that I really need, just things that I want to have. Well, I wished for my family and friends’ peace of mind, wisdom, good health and happiness, but I guess it’s not really something that I need or something that’s within my capacity to give. Oh right, I need for my true love to find me! That qualifies as a major NEED! =P

Friday's Feast 121

Appetizer
Which language would you like to learn and why?

French or any of the Romance language. But I also would want to learn all the languages in the world, not really to master it but to know the basics so that I can communicate with the locals if ever I get to visit their countries - or just in case I join The Amazing Race hahaha...

Soup
What's the funniest thing you've heard or read so far this week?

One of my officemate, who is already married, suddenly blurted out to my other officemate, also married: "Uy, nag-sex ako kagabi! Ansarap!" ("Hey, I had sex last night! It was great!) (I guess the proper translation is "delicious" but, well...). My other officemate answered: "Talaga! Antagal na din nung huli mo ah!" (Really! It has been too long since you last had some!).

So the tactless and clueless me couldn't help but ask: "Talaga bang ganyan ang pinaguusapan niyo dito?!" (Is that what you really talked about here?!"). Which prompted a hearty round of laughter from them and a comment about me having a dirty mind.

Well, it turns out that sex stands for Sinangag (Fried Rice) EXpress. How should I know they're talking about that?! It's the first time I've heard of it! As it turn out, ah, SEX was quite popular and delicious.

And yes, this is funny even if the joke's on me.

Salad
Which movie was so bad you couldn't watch the whole thing?

I really can't pinpoint a particularly movie that I hadn't watched in its entirety because it's bad. I usually managed to hang on until the end credits and just laugh about the experience afterwards.

Main Course
If there was a holiday in your honor that didn't use your actual name, what would the day be called?

The International Day of Procrastination - because we all need a special, guilt-free day to just bum around and be unproductive.

Dessert
Name one movie which is coming out soon that you would like to see.

Wow. It's like you've read my mind. I was actually planning to post my Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2007. Anyway, here's my top 3: Harry Potter And The Order of The Phoenix [what else?!]; Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End; and Wolverine.

For the short term (meaning for the rest of 2006), I want to see An Inconvenient Truth and Eragon. Also, Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo (or something like that) for the Metro Manila Film Festival. (oh shut up. jologs na kung jologs!)

Friday's Feast 119

Appetizer
Have you ever changed a flat tire by yourself?

Not yet, but now that I have my own car I'm sort of looking forward to it! Come to think of it, I'm quite keen to learn more about cars!

Soup
Do you have an "innie" or an "outie" belly button?

Innie.

Salad
Name a new paint color and describe it.

I'm going to call this new color as the happy color. It's the kind of color that gives a different hue to the things around you, like you're seeing everything for the first time and in a very good way.

Main Course
What is your favorite holiday tradition?

For Christmas, we Filipinos have a tradition called Simbang Gabi. I haven't really been observing this tradition religiously for the past few years, but it brings back a lot of good memories especially during my teen years when I go to church with my friends. After the Mass, we eat bibingka or puto bumbong and then just walk on the way home.

Dessert
If you were a cookie, what kind of cookie would you be, and why?

Well, I'll be the tough cookie because I've often been called one. Probably because I'm quite stubborn and driven. But I'm also that kind of tough cookie that is only tough on the outer layer but is very soft and sweet on the inside because I'm also quite sensitive and vulnerable. Ehem, right?

Friday's Feast 117

My answers may be short but I enjoyed this!

Appetizer
Create a new candle scent.

For ladies who want to attract the man of her dreams, I suggest pizza-scented candles. The best pheromone there is.

Soup
Name one way you show affection to others.

I like to pinch people's arms and legs to show my affection. Sometimes I even bite on the shoulders. People would rather have me not shower them any affection.

Salad
What is your favorite writing instrument?

When I’m just doodling or writing down some of my thoughts, any ball-point pen will do as long as it doesn’t blot. When I write special messages, I use jell-ink pens, preferably in blue or purple/violet.

Main Course
If you were given $25 to spend anywhere online, from which site would you buy?

Amazon baby! I’ll buy those Foxtrot treasuries! Unfortunately, $25 is not enough for shipping costs alone.

Dessert
Are you dressing up for Halloween? If so, what are you going to be?

I’m contemplating on wearing themed headbands for my nephew’s trick or treat. Depending on my mood (and guts), I might just go for it.

Friday, October 20, 2006

Friday's Feast 116

Appetizer
What is your favorite beverage?

I’m okay with just water to go with anything, as long as it’s ice cold. For sodas, I prefer Sprite or Mountain Dew. For my caffeine fix, it’s Caramel Frappucino from Starbucks.

Soup
Name 3 things that are on your computer desk at home or work.

At work:

Lots and lots of papers, for whatever I’m doing at the moment or documents for filing

Lots and lots of post its and notepads – and when I say lots and lots, I mean this:

My iPod – major stress reliever!

Salad
On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being highest), how honest do you think you are?

9. Isn’t that an honest indicator of how honest I am?!

Main Course
If you could change the name of one city in the world, what would you rename it and why?

Shakespeare fanatics and devotees would hate me for this, but I find Stratford-upon-Avon as being too long winded. Let’s just change it to The-Town-Where-The-Greatest-Writer-Lived. Still wordy? How bout Shakespeare-Lived-Here? Okay, Stratford-upon-Avon will do.

Dessert
What stresses you out? What calms you down?

Sources of stress: WORK, horrendous traffic situations, mall-wide sales, enrollment at driving school, my brother’s love life and my mom’s reaction to it.

Stress buster: music, malling, talking to friends, staring at the wall for a long time, blogging about what stresses me.

Friday, October 6, 2006

Friday's Feast 114

Appetizer
Name a song you know by heart.

Gosh, there’s just so many! The first song that comes to mind was Two Minds Crack’s “Upside Down”. It’s been a fave song of mine way back in high school and I still enjoy listening to it.

Maybe you don’t understand, our love lies lost but you’re still holding my hand, oh, and then you walked away, just as I, I wanted to stay… You’re turning me on, you turn me around, you turn my whole world upside down…

Soup
What will you absolutely not do in front of another person?

Pick my nose. Do a wrestler or fashion model impersonation. I do a lot of that in front of the mirror in the privacy of my bedroom. None were good impersonations, I must say. Which is why it should stay as hidden as possible.

Salad
How often do you use mouthwash and what kind do you like?

Once or twice a day. I use Astring-O-Sol freshmint.

Main Course
Finish this sentence: I am embarrassed when...

I blurt out non-sequiturs. Or when I let slip that I’m ignorant on some things. I no longer get embarrassed when I fall flat on my face. It has become something predictable like the rising and setting of the sun.

Dessert
What was the last food you craved?

Marshmallows. Colorful, fluffy marshmallows.

Friday, September 29, 2006

Friday's Feast 113

Appetizer
What is your favorite herb or spice?

Since I'm into spicy foods, I love black and chili peppers. I also like my adobo to be very garlic-ky.

Soup
Name a song you like but haven't heard in a long time.

Actually, I heard that song yesterday. I was actually deliberately avoiding hearing that song [the title of which I won’t bother to mention!] because, well, long story. I didn’t really answer the question, did I?

Salad
If you were to take just one minute to write down as many things as you can think of that you need (not want) to do, approximately how many things would there be?

I stopped at 10. Thinking about the things I need to do is giving me the headache...

Main Course
Tell something interesting about one of your family members (nothing scandalous, please, just something unique).

It’s really not that unique – but my eldest brother doesn’t like to be called “daddy” or “tatay” by his son. His son [my nephew] calls him by his first name. Also, my brother likes to download sports theme/pump up songs and wrestling entrance themes to his mp3 player. Probably his way of motivating himself hahaha!

Dessert
What's the latest you've ever stayed awake?

I had watched a rock gig that lasted until about past 3am – and I had to go to the office in a few hours! I also used to have insomnia so I’m no stranger to staying awake for very long hours and in some instance had to go to school without some sleep. Yep, definitely unhealthy.

Friday, September 15, 2006

Friday's Feast 111

Appetizer
What was the very last song you listened to?

I’m currently tuned in to my iPod and the last song that played was “Tao Po” by The Youth. The Youth is one of the major bands during the 90’s OPM rock band explosion, though I can’t recall if “Tao Po” was a big hit back then. I'm sure it was not as big as their hit song "Multo Sa Paningin".

Soup
What is one company/store/corporation you would recommend that people stay away from?

Powerbooks. That damn store puts curse to anyone who goes there, afflicting them with the insatiable desire to buy books. I swear, the books smell enchantingly irresistable because those were spiked with potions. Don’t go there, ever.

Salad
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being highest, how much do you enjoy having your picture made?

Ehem. About 8? =p

Main Course
Besides a bookmark, what is something you've used to keep your place in a book?

Tags from shirts, calling cards, anything as long as it isn’t thick. Mostly I just commit to memory the page number.

Dessert
Name a food that you like that most people don't.

The thing is, I’m the one who doesn’t like food that most people like. Although I remember one instance when someone thought it weird that I eat chicharon or kropek together with rice.

Friday, September 8, 2006

Friday's Feast - Feast 110

Appetizer
Name 3 things you are wearing today.

I’m wearing a pair of flesh colored shorts, brown sleeveless top and silver earrings. Of course, I’m wearing a smile because I’m still on vacation. :p

Soup
Who was the last person you hugged?

I’m not really the huggy type of person, so the only person I could hug without really feeling embarrassed about it is my nephew.

Salad
What do you like to order from your favorite fast food place?

Right now, my fave is McDonald’s McShaker fries and McFloat. I also love their hash browns. At Wendy’s, it’s Bacon Mushroom Melt and Frosty. At Jollibee, it’s their Burger steak and Palabok. The only fast food spaghetti I eat is from Greenwich.

Main Course
What time of day do you usually feel most energized?

Although I’m not exactly a morning person, I need a lot of energy in the morning because my work requires me to be productive during those times. But if it’s Friday, expect me to be bursting with energy in the evening, as my body is already looking forward to the weekends.

Dessert
Using the letters in your first name, write a sentence. (Example: Sweet unusual spaniels are nice.)

Well, this one’s hard. The rule doesn’t say the sentence is supposed to make sense, does it?

Justify every love assumed.

Friday, September 1, 2006

Friday's Feast - Feast 109

Appetizer:

What are some lyrics you have misheard (such as, instead of "Getting' Jiggy With It" you heard "Kick a chicken with it")?

One of the songs with lyrics I had a hard time figuring out was Pearl Jam's Jeremy. I couldn't understand the lines "Jeremy spoke in class today...", and when I sing it, I was just mush mouthing "Jeremy smochenpasohway...", or something like that.

Another unforgettable lyrics boo boo was on Tears For Fears' Mad World. I used to sing a line of that song as "I find hard to tell you cause I find it hard to say, the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had...". Eventually, I figured out that the correct line was "I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad, the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had...". Nice line, huh?

There was also this funny incident I remembered, although this time I was sort of right. I was singing a song by Black Eyed Peas: "Let's get retarded, yeah yeah..." and then a friend of mine corrected me and say that it's supposed to be "Let's get started, yeah yeah...". Turns out there were two versions of the song.

Soup:

What is worst movie you have ever seen?

I've seen a lot of really bad movies but I can't remember most of them [because I've probably buried the memories at the deepest recesses of my brain]. The one that first pop to my head, though, was Megiddo [or something]. It was a bad, bad B movie, but it was the sort of bad that you just laugh at afterwards.

Salad:

Using the letters from your favorite number, write a sentence. Example: Tomorrow has really easy experiences.

Every idiot gets his trouble. (does that even make any sense?!)

Main Course:

What was the most interesting news story you have heard this week?

Although I have read about it some time ago, the formal decision to remove Pluto's designation as a planet was one of the most interesting news I've read in the last few days. Add to that the proposal of Commissioner Noli Eala to make slam dunks worth 3 points. Nice move, commissioner. Not. [I'll explain this in another post.]

[sidebar: frankly, I hate reading the news these past few weeks, especially with regards to the oil spill in Guimaras.]

Dessert:

Which word(s) would you choose to describe your wardrobe?

Comfortable. I guess that's it. I'm not really a trendy person, and excepting the clothes I wear for work, I'm the t-shirt and jeans kind of girl, sometimes bordering on the tomboyish.

Friday's Feast 102

Appetizer

Name one thing nice that you could do for someone else today.
  • I had been friendly to a pesky "textmate" today.

Soup

When was the last time you were frightened by the weather?

  • When I first witness flying roofs - and our roof is one of them. The storm was just so strong then and there wasn't even a difference if you're outside or inside your home, everything was drenched. Actually, I wasn't really that frightened, more of a feeling of despair, that there's nothing you can do against the force of nature.

Salad

What would you say is the most useful website or blog that you visit?

  • Wikipedia! It's not exactly the most accurate source for info (well, the internet isn't exactly the most accurate source for info), but I enjoyed reading a lot of topics there that you won't normally find on a classic encyclopedia.

Main Course

Who was your favorite singer/group when you were a child?

  • I was more of a dancer then so I like any music that was danceable. I started dreaming of fronting a rock band when I was in first year high school but by then it was too late, since I lost my singing voice by screaming myself hoarse from cheering, watching basketball, and by just being loud (as if I already had a singing voice in the first place). Anyway, favorite singer/group... I honestly can't remember any singer/group I had supported when I was a child. I was big on 90's alternative rock but it didn't happen until I was in high school.

Do you have any rituals? If so, what are they?

  • Surprisingly, I don't have any. Just like everyone else, I have morning or before going to bed rituals (like washing my face, toothbrush, taking additional baths in the evening when the weather's hot) but I don't consider these as rituals as these serve hygienic purposes.
